A multinational food and beverage manufacturer faced significant challenges with their FastPath Assure Identity Manager implementation, intended to enable secure provisioning within their SAP production environment. Frustrated by months of limited progress with their initial partner, the company sought a new collaborator to drive the project forward. FastPath introduced the client to MajorKey, leading to a partnership focused on salvaging the stalled implementation and achieving a successful go-live.
Without the system in place, the company was exposed to heightened security risks, operational inefficiencies, and compliance concerns. The lack of Separation of Duties (SoD) and Sensitive Access controls increased the risk of unauthorized access, while unclear role ownership structures and unoptimized approval rules caused delays and errors in access management. Additionally, the absence of proper training and support risked long-term inefficiencies and higher operational costs.
MajorKey completed the project within a two-week engagement, aligning the implementation with best practices. This included confirming Approval Rule methodologies, creating Role Ownership Groups, and establishing Role-to-Owner relationships. Approval Rules were configured and tested for SoD compliance, and the finalized setup was implemented in production. To ensure sustainability, MajorKey provided a training guide for requestors and approvers and empowered the client’s support team to maintain the system post-go-live. These efforts culminated in the official launch, delivering the secure provisioning capabilities the client needed to operate efficiently and compliantly.
Our customer was running into issues with their FastPath implementation partner and struggling to make progress until MajorKey got it over the finish line.
